The Social Security Disability hearing is the second step in the process of filing an appeal. You have sixty days from the date of your denied reconsideration request to ask the SSA for a hearing. When you request a hearing, your case will be examined by an administrative law judge. This judge will review your case and can either approve your claim, send your case back for review, or deny your claim.
